The Definitions: K2tog = knit 2 stitches together (single decrease)
Yo = yarn over (single increase)
Double decrease = slip 1, k2tog, pass slipped stitch over the following stitch
The Knitting: Cast on 47 stitches. Work 4 rows in garter stitch (knit every row). Start knitting
in pattern as follows:
Row 1: k4, k2tog, k2, yo * k1, yo, k3, double decrease, k3, yo*, repeat * to * twice more, end with k1, yo,
k2, k2tog, k4.
Row 2: knit
Row 3: knit
Row 4: k4, purl to last 4 stitches, k4
Continue repeating these four rows until about 10 yards of yarn remain. Knit 4 rows. Bind off
