The Gauge: 4.25 sts/inch in wave pattern stitch
Wave Stitch Pattern:
(multiple of 24 sts, four rows equals one pattern repeat):
Row 1: (RS) Knit.
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: k2 tog 4 times, *(yo, k1) 8 times, k2 tog 8 times*, repeat * to * end k2 tog 4 times.
Row 4: Knit.
The Notes: The first and last 4 stitches of each row will be knit; garter stitch edges.
The Knitting:
Using yarn A and larger needles, cast on 120 sts. Change to smaller needles and work four rows of
wave pattern (one repeat) - remember to keep first and last four stitches in garter stitch. Change to
yarn B and work two repeats of the wave pattern. Change to yarn C and work three repeats
of wave pattern. Change to yarn D and work one repeat of wave pattern. Change to yarn
E and work two repeats of wave pattern. This completes the first row of the table below.
Continue cycling through yarns and number of wave pattern repeats as show in the table. End with one
repeat of yarn A. Bind off using yarn A and larger needles.
