Lullaby Baby Blanket
Easy baby blanket designed for the absolute beginning knitter. Based on the ever-popular knit wash cloth but perfect for the most stylish baby

The Size:
About 30" square

The Materials:
Berroco Lullaby 6 skeins OR Suede 6 skeins
Berroco Plush 1 skein
US #9 knitting needle, K crochet hook

The Model Shown in:
Suede 3727; Plush 1901

The Gauge:
4 sts/in in garter stitch

The Definitions:
Inc 1: increase one stitch by knitting into the front and back of the first stitch
Dec 1: decrease one stitch by knitting together the first two stitches

The Knitting:
Entire blanket is worked in garter stitch (knit every row).
Using Lullaby or Suede, cast on three stitches.
Increase row: Inc 1 in the first stitch, knit to end.
Repeat Increase row until three skeins have been knit.
Decrease Row: Dec 1 at the beginning of every row. Repeat decrease row until there are three stitches left.
End by: Slip 1, Knit 2 together, pass the slipped stitch over. Break yarn and pull through loop.

Finishing: Using a double strand of Plush and the crochet hook. Work a crab stitch (reverse single crochet) around the entire edge of the blanket
